Tres Basílicas
This painting plays with the idea of the ancient being resurfaced. Similar to the Temple of Santiago in Chiapas, México. It was built in 1564 and normally sits underwater, but with a lack of rain several hundreds years later it is now visible. Even if we can not see something on the surface, it does not mean it does not exist.
